Black and white minimalist prints are gorgeous. The minimalist design never really goes out of style, does it?
Sometimes it waxes and wanes, but true lovers of minimalism always hunger for that simple, clear look. Rich with meaning – yet clean. Never cluttered.
I think the same can be said with black and white minimalist printable quotes.
Clean. Simple. And often profound. The lack of clutter, even while using only text, is stunning. And the black and white? Perfect.
As an artist, I like to design pieces that speak. It’s my goal to be encouraging, comforting or strengthening with my artwork.
It’s the look I went for with my “God Collection” black and white wall art printables.
These work for folks who want to surround themselves with faith reminders. I have experienced times in my life when I need to know that my Creator cares. Many of us feel that way: that God loves us, knows us. Hears us. And sees us.
That’s the minimalist sentiment that birthed this collection.
We like choices, don’t we?
In addition, because these files are printables, you have choices about how to print them. A mix of sizes or keep them all the same. It’s up to you and the look you want.
Black and White Minimalist Prints Decor Strategies
You can also mix these focal point printables with your own artwork. Or photographs. This is one of my favorite ways to personalize digital artwork. (In the above photo I combined a very different background with the minimalist typographical printable. See how it pops?)
Using Minimalism to Encourage
It’s also a smart idea in home decor to hang an encouraging sentiment exactly where you’ll see it everyday. This is a great way to keep your child’s or teen’s attention focused on the ideas you know are so important for them to take in.
Black and White Printables – Making Your Own
You also can easily make these types of black and white minimalist prints yourself and use the quotes or sayings that have meaning to you.
If you’re going to try this, a couple of tips: choose your font carefully. A font family has a vibe and you’ll want to look at enough fonts so you can match the font’s feel with your quote’s meaning.
Secondly, where you place your text matters. Embrace the white space. You might even print out several trials of your black and white quote with the text at different alignments and eye levels. Put these on your wall, stand back and take a look.
You will definitely notice a difference.
