Free printable stationery borders are such a great way to turn a ho-hum letter or project into a fun gig!
And finding free stationery borders online is a lot of fun, too. I love to design stationery borders to print free, as well as design more sophisticated printable page borders PDF files for purchase on my Etsy shop.
On this post, however, you will find free printable lined stationery borders in several different designs. There are unlined versions, too, of my original printable papers along with envelope liners (to fit #10 envelopes).

Free printable stationery with lines and borders – pdf format
This is the first full size printable lined paper with border design that I have for you.
This black and white minimalist design is really an elegant free stationary borders printable. Use it for a wide variety of projects to make them stand out in a beautiful way.
Not only will these printables work as stationery pages (remember, you can print as many as you like), but it would made a beautiful journal page.
Print this border design and add your own background images, lists, notes. I used this beautiful border for Bible verses for everyday life, which you can download and print for free, as well.

Or you can go in another direction. You can use it with kids (and adults!) and let them color in the design.
This stationery design is in a pdf format so it will print nicely on standard letter size (8.5×11 inch) paper.
It will print on A4 paper, as well. I suggest doing a test print of either size to ensure your printer settings are what you expect.
{Note: Some of my designs extend to the edges of the paper. However, not all home printers support borderless printing, which means the final print will have a white border. In that case, you can either use as is or trim the paper to get rid of the border.}
Full page borders, such as this leaf design, can also be used as a frame. Write or print your message on the inside area (usually without the lines) for an easy, high quality, certificate or printable reward paper.

Paper printable with gingham border patterns
Here’s an eye-popping red gingham stationery page for you to print.
A lot of people use Microsoft Word to create their free printable stationery pages – and honestly, that program works great – but since I’m actually creating watercolor art designs and scanning them into my computer, I use the free software program, Gimp, to create my free digital paper.
This design was created with watercolor pencils and then brushed with water to make the red color pop. It was finished digitally to give you a quality printable paper.
As with the others, you can choose between lined and unlined stationery pages.
And I’ve included a matching envelope liner for the most common envelope size (#10) used with letter size paper.

Keep in mind that all monitors and printers ‘see’ colors a little differently, so what you see on a screen and what prints out may be slightly different.

The clip art assets are in png formats and have a transparent background so you can use them for a variety of projects. Plus I include “already made” printable papers and digital backgrounds.

Pink printable stationery borders
Pink, free printable stationery is popular right now.
These new printables are perfect for making a quick Happy Birthday or baby shower invite.
There are several different formats you can use when choosing an instant download of free printables.
For example, you can use .jpg, pdf or .png (for the transparent backgrounds) but pdf files are often used for home printing.
And unlike the black and white border paper above, I added a writing block inside this pink design to give you a straight line to add your text or image within. That can really help with visual formatting.
These distinctions create a different look-and-feel for your free printable stationery borders.
